Board of Directors Information

Richard T. Haines, Chairperson

Dick has been a Director of the Board for 14 years. He currently holds positions of Chairperson and Chairman of the Asset Liability Committee. Dick graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1966 and then from Pennsylvania State University with a Master of Regional Planning Degree in 1975. For the past 36 years, he has held the position of Planning Director with the Blair County Planning Commission.

Matthew J. McConville, Vice-Chairperson

Matt has served on the Board of Directors since 1998. He has served has Chairman of the Board, Vice-Chairman of the Asset Liability Committee, and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee. Matt is a Licensed Funeral Director and Licensed Insurance Agent. For the past 13 years, he has worked as the Operations Manager for Stevens Mortuary, Inc.

Francis R. Wiley, Treasurer

Frank has served on ARC’s Board of Directors for 6 years. He is a Commercial Real Estate Agent and Appraiser for Howard Hanna/Johnston Realty and has served on the Board of Directors of the Sunrise Rotary Club, the Emergency Shelter, the Altoona City Planning Commission, and the Blair County Planning Commission. Frank believes in serving his community and wants to utilize his experience and talents to make it a better place to live and work, while assisting ARC in our involvement in the local community.

Donna M. McEldowney, Secretary

Donna has been on the Board of Directors for the past 15 years, 14 of them as the Secretary. She has also served as the Chairperson of the Planning and Membership Committee and graduated from the Altoona School of Commerce. Donna had owned and operated Lucretia II Bridals by Donna for 25 years and now owns We Sell Your Furniture.

James J. Foose, Director

Jim has been a member of ARC’s Board of Directors since 1996 and the Chairman for 4 of those years. Jim has retired from Lumax Industries where he held the position of Plant Manager. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind and United Way of Blair County. Jim wants to assist in the continued growth of ARC and improve the services to our membership.

Louis J. Maierhofer, Director

Lou has retired from Investors Diversified Services where he held the positions of Zone Manager, District Manager, and Division Manager. Lou has also worked in the Trust Department of Mid-State Bank, held full-time positions with Penn State Altoona, and owned and operated many local radio stations. In addition, he has dedicated time to serve on the Board of Directors of the Blair County Airport Authority, Huntingdon County Business and Industry Board, Mount Union Chamber of Commerce, and the National Daytime Broadcast Association. Lou has been a long time member of ARC and wishes to contribute his skills to the further development of ARC’s service to the membership.

Marianne M. Templon, Director

Ms. Templon joined the ARC Board in 2011.  Marianne is a Real Estate Agent with Exit Realty John Hill.  She has been a Realtor for 5 years and has received multiple "Top Producer", "Top Seller", and "Top Lister" honors.  Ms. Templon has worked as an Insurance Agent for the Allison, Myers, Beaver & Vellone Agency where she was a Licensed Resident Producer of Casualty and Property Allied Lines.
